Welcome to the IEEE Central Virginia Section. As shown on the map, we cover most of the Shenandoah Valley and the east side of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Specifically, the Central Virginia Section includes the counties of Albemarle, Amherst, Appomattox, Augusta, Bedford, Buckingham, Campbell, Culpeper, Fauquier, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, Orange, Page, Rappahannock, Rockingham, Shenandoah, and Warren, as well at the independent cities of Bedford, Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Lynchburg, Staunton, and Waynesboro.

Senior Member Upgrade

The Senior Member grade is the highest level of IEEE membership for which application may be made and requires experience reflecting professional maturity.  For more information and links to online application forms, please visit the Senior Member Upgrade page.

Fellow Grade

The grade of Fellow recognizes unusual distinction in the profession and shall be conferred only by invitation of the Board of Directors upon a person with an extraordinary record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE’s designated fields of interest.
